Frequently Asked Questions
Can our babysitter come the day before to become acquainted with the children?
Unfortunately, no. The babysitters are quite busy, and we can not ask them to jeopardize a full night or day of work. Your babysitter will call you to introduce themselves, which also allows you to get to know them before they arrive. An alternative option if you would like extra time to spend acclimating your children to the babysitter is to schedule an earlier start time.
Do we care for children with special needs and learning disabilities?
Yes, please call to give extra information about your child so I can place a babysitter who is well suited to care for them.
How do you find your sitters?
We have thankfully never had to advertise since the service was started in 2004. We are very thankful to have had word of mouth from great babysitters telling their friends, as well as many sitters who come back year after year.
Do you do background checks?
Yes, we run a state background check to ensure there have been zero instances of abuse or neglect against children or vulnerable adults.
Do you babysit sick children?
NO. Our babysitters are around so many children and will lose work if they contract any illness while babysitting sick kids.
What policies do you have?
We have a 4-hour minimum, as well as a 48-hour cancellation policy to protect the babysitters, their time and commitment to work for you.
Do you have a daycare center?
We do not operate a facility, all babysitting takes place at the location or residence where you are staying.
